While I can't advise you of all the problems you will run into during a new build, I can give you a good road map to avoid the most common mistakes. Remember, a house is most likely the single largest investment you will make. Don't rush into it without having done your research. I know it is exciting once your loan officer says you are approved to start looking for builders. But be smart. Take your time. The time you put in up front usually makes for a quicker build time and a more enjoyable experience.
